Make Colored Flowers

What you'll need:

A few stems of bright, white flowers such as chrysanthemums, gerberas or carnations

Jars or cups

water

Assorted liquid or gel food coloring

Knife

Instructions:

Fill cups one-half full with water.

Add about 20-30 drops of food coloring to the water.  In this case, more food coloring is better!

Before placing any of the flowers in the cups of water, have an adult trim the stem of each flower at an angle to create a fresh cut and slit the stem straight down the middle.

Pink Tip:

It may take as long as 24 hours for the colored water to work its way up to the white petals.
